Public Comments
-
The Cumberland County Board of Education welcomes comments from the public and provides numerous opportunities for citizens to voice their opinions on issues affecting public education. Persons wishing to speak publicly to the full Board may do so at the regularly scheduled meeting on the second Tuesday of each month. A public comment session is held during the 6:30 p.m. meeting.
Comments are limited to three minutes per speaker in order to allow all interested persons equal opportunity to speak. Individuals requesting to speak during the public comment period may sign up using the following link: Public Comment Period Google Form, which will be accessible starting at noon on Board meeting days and remain open until 6:15 p.m. To facilitate the sign-up process, CCS will provide an electronic device at each Board meeting, and staff will be on hand to assist individuals. A pen and paper option will be available upon request. The cut-off time to sign up to speak during the public comment period is 6:15 p.m.
Concerns related to individual personnel or students should be directed to appropriate administrative staff and should not be shared during the Public Comment Period. Please feel free to contact any appropriate administrative official in this regard.
