Buster the Safety Bus
-
Bus safety is an integral part of school transportation. The Transportation staff strives to provide safe and efficient transportation for all eligible students in our system. Working in conjunction with school staff, students, bus drivers, and parents, we promote bus safety each day. Bus safety begins at home with parents and students discussing behavior on the bus and at the bus stop. The Transportation staff provides safety presentations at the elementary schools featuring “Buster the Bus.” Buster is a robotic bus that interacts with the students to help them learn about bus safety in a fun and engaging manner. Buster the Safety Bus
Hi There! My name is Buster the Safety Bus! I’m a very special bus because I can talk! As a matter of fact, I love to talk – especially to children about bus safety. I have a really cool job! I get to travel around the elementary schools in Cumberland County and teach students about bus safety! I visit the schools with our transportation supervisors and we have a great time visiting the kids and talking about stuff like stop arms, how to get on and off the bus safely, and the Danger Zone. I also like to sing songs and just have lots of fun helping everyone learn about the importance of bus safety!
If you would like to see me at your school contact your transportation supervisor for your area!
