When an incident occurs that calls for the disruption of school activity, CCS wants every staff personnel, family member, guest, volunteer, and, most importantly, every student to know what is expected of them during this time. 

CODE YELLOW

• A Code Yellow is a medium alert status used when there is a possible threat to individuals on a campus or building site, but not in the immediate area.  
  • Classroom activities continue as normal with classroom doors locked;
  • Outdoor activities are suspended;
  • Exterior doors are locked and checked periodically.

CODE RED

• A Code Red is a high alert status used when there is an immediate danger to individuals on a campus or building site.
  • Staff and students are to remain in secured locations.
