The School Board Attorney's Office is comprised of one full-time School Board Attorney, one Paralegal II, and one Paralegal I/Legal Assistant. In general, the School Board Attorney represents the School Board in all legal matters and serves as general counsel to the Superintendent and Administration.

The School Board Attorney's Office strives to provide sound and timely legal advice to the Board and Administration on all matters affecting the governance and operation of Cumberland County Schools. Doing so, The School Board Attorney's Office not only participates in and provides oversight of all litigation and administrative matters, but also takes part in policy development, contract development, and business transactions. Further, The School Board Attorney's Office supplies general legal guidance, counseling, and support to the school site and District department leadership on a daily basis.
