    • Spanish instruction beginning in Kindergarten

    • Enhancement of communication skills by developing multicultural understanding and experiences

    • Promotes acceptance of different nationalities of people by developing an understanding of their cultures and customs

    • Essential foreign language communication skills will enable students to compete in a global society

    • Every child (K-2) receives one 35 minute class of Spanish instruction each week

    • Use of Spanish is incorporated in schoolwide areas such as: announcements, Bear News Network, parent reports/letters, parent newsletter, parent-student handbook, and student performance program
