Battle of the Books

Cumberland County Battle of the Books is a reading competition open to 4th and 5th-grade students who have a natural interest in reading great literature. Students read for comprehension in order to answer questions. Students are required to read pre-selected books and become very familiar with each of them. The competition resembles a quiz bowl in that the students are asked questions and then respond. The competition is usually held in March.
The team is coached by the Media Coordinator, Gloria Garner.
