  • CCS Families,

We understand that this is a challenging time for many in our community. As we navigate COVID-19 together, CCS remains committed to facilitating growth and new opportunities while ensuring access to quality education.

The safety, health, and well-being of our students, staff, families, and community is a top priority. The NC DHHS StrongSchoolsNC toolkit requires public schools to conduct a COVID-19 symptom screening of any person entering a school building. For this reason, we will be asking each student to complete the CCS Symptoms Screener survey each day before reporting to school. Staff member takes student's temperature

The purpose of the CCS Symptoms Screener survey is to determine if your child(ren) are currently experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19 or have recently been exposed or diagnosed with COVID-19. All information provided is kept confidential. Based on your survey results, you will be approved to go to school or be asked to stay home. Students who are not feeling well should stay home and consult with a physician or health care provider.

Please complete the CCS Symptoms Screener survey to help ensure safety and health for all. This survey is available electronically and can be accessed in multiple languages. To see a step-by-step guide for completing the survey, please watch this video.

For those who cannot access electronic pre-screening or pre-screening is not completed before arrival on-site, school staff will assist students with screening via on-site electronic screening or a paper version of attestation.

Thank you for your cooperation and support. To learn more about the district's plan for a safe return to in-person learning, visit www.ccs.k12.nc.us/reentry. We are in this together, CCS family. #CumberlandStrong
