CCS Wins "Outstanding Website" Award
Cumberland County Schools' (CCS) national award-winning website has received another noteworthy recognition. CCS recently received the "Outstanding Website" award from the 2021 WebAwards. A judge from WebAwards evaluated the website based on its design, ease of use, copywriting, interactivity, use of technology, innovation and content.
The WebAwards judge lauded the website for excellence in every category, saying he was, "astounded by the quality and information architecture." The judge also acknowledged the website's attention to the diversity represented in CCS, "The amount of diversity of the families within the school system (military market/federally connected) with 75 countries and 89 languages is a challenge to master ... WELL DONE! —This site is sensitive to the variety of cultures and peoples."
Since 1997, the WebAwards have been recognized as the premier industry based Website Award program in the world. The WebAwards include sites from 97 industry categories that go head-to-head with other sites from their categories. If an entry received a score of 60 or greater out of a possible 70 points granted by the WebAward judges, they receive the "Outstanding Website," award.
