Gray's Creek High School offers one choice program, the Academy of Information Technology. Please note this academy is open only to Gray's Creek High School students.
The Academy of Information Technology (AOIT), a small learning environment, introduces students to the broad career opportunities in today’s digital workforce and equips them with the personal, analytical, technical, and communication skills needed for these careers. AOIT opens the door to new options, so that students may make sound choices for the future.
Affiliated with and administered by the National Academy Foundation (NAF), based in New York City, this program is designed to facilitate the transition from high school to more advanced training and eventually a career in the information technology industry.
Mission
The Academy of Information Technology’s mission is to introduce high school students to the broad career opportunities in the information technology industry by providing a program of study in information systems, software installation and maintenance, and networking, to equip them with skills necessary to compete in a career field.

AOIT Graduation Requirements
Required GPA:- 2.5 (C) overall
- 3.0 (B) Academy Classes
Uniform:
Academy students wear their uniforms every Thursday. This consists of:- Academy Polo Shirt
- Khaki or black dress pants (no shorts or jeans)
- Girls may wear a khaki or black skirt
- Dress shoes (may wear Sperrys)
Community Service
Community Service is a major portion of our academy. Each student has to complete 50 hours per year, 200 hours by graduation. Throughout the year many community service opportunities are available such as:
- CCS Reading Rocks
- Angel Tree
- Dogwood Festival
- Stoney Point Trail of Terror
- Battle of the Bear's Den
- Computer Refurbish Day with CCS Technology
- AOIT Non-Food Drive
Community service credit will be recorded using the Work-based learning form.
Certifications
Students are able to receive the following certifications:- Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA)
- Microsoft Office Specialist Master
- CompTIA A+ Certification
- Microsoft Office Expert (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access)
