Q: Do I have to be a genius to come to this school?

A: No; CIECHS will accept any student that wants to learn.

Q: What kinds of people choose to come here?

A: Many types of students come to our school from around Cumberland County. Not all of us are AG students. Students who come are hard-working and eager for a challenge.

Q: Is there a lot of stress?

A: You will encounter stress if you don’t pace yourself. You have to come up with an organizational system to help make sure you’ve done everything and by the due dates.

Q: Why should I choose to come to CIECHS?

A: You will earn college credit hours while in high school.  The class sizes are smaller, so it’s much easier to get to know your peers and your teachers. 

Q: Do you have uniforms or a dress code?

A: We do not have uniforms, but we do have a dress code. The code is a bit stricter than other schools. A copy of the dress code will be provided in the CIECHS Student Handbook given at the beginning of the school year.

Q: Do you have lockers?

A: We do not have lockers. 

Q: How long does it take to get home on the bus?

A: It depends on where you live, but it takes a while because the bus has to drop off everyone in your district.

Q: Are there any extra-curricular activities?

A: Yes. There are many clubs that you can join. A listing is on your school website under clubs/organizations.
