Phone: 910-484-3391Cumberland County Schools currently have eleven staff members who provide Behavioral Support Services to students who have been determined eligible through Mental Health Services. These students are referred to as being eligible assaultive and violent children or children who are “At Risk”.The staff is composed of one full time coordinator, two full time liaisons, and eight crisis assistants that are assigned caseloads by attendance areas. Liaisons are available for IEP meetings, disciplinary hearings and inter-agency meetings. They work closely with school staff in designing classroom management plans, individual behavior intervention and crises plans, as well as working directly with students, parents and guardians, mental health case managers, and other agency representatives.
