CCS 2025 Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year Finalists Announced

During Cumberland County Schools' (CCS) Summer Leadership Conference today, the finalists for the 2025 Principal of the Year and 2025 Assistant Principal of the Year were announced. They are as follows: 

CCS' 2025 Principal of the Year (POY) Finalists 

Elementary School Principals

  • Corine Warren at Benjamin Martin Elementary School 

  • Lisa Gillespie at Mary McArthur Elementary School

  • Antoine McGill at J.W. Seabrook Elementary School

  • Dr. Shanessa Fenner at W.T. Brown Elementary School

  • Shannon Booth at Sherwood Park Elementary School

Middle School Principals

  • Dr. Natasha Brown at Westover Middle School

  • Regina Blanding at Hope Mills Middle School

High School Principals

  • Dr. Douglas Massengill at Massey Hill Classical High School

The POY and APOY Finalists were selected by their peers. The announcement of the district's 2025 Principal and Assistant Principal of the Year winners will be made during a special event this fall.
